By now, most everyone has heard about GMOs, (genetically modified organisms), in our food supply and understands, at the very least, that this means that the food we eat has been engineered by science in some way. For some, scientifically engineering food to resist disease and to grow faster and bigger is a logical way for us to meet our growing need for food or even provide enough food to help end hunger around the world.

But the more we dig into the mountain of research that is available about GMO’s, the clearer the link between chronic health issues like ADHD / ADD, cancer, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, depression, anxiety, just to mention a few.

It is so important that we truly understand what is really in the food that we eat, how it is made and processed and how our food finds its way from the farm to our table. The more we dig into the real story, the more we understand just how genetically modified food and the widespread use of pesticides like Monsanto's Round-Up is seriously affecting our health and the health of our families.

That is why we are dedicating a special evening to YOU. We want to share with you what doctors and specialists are afraid and unwilling to share. There IS a link between the food that you eat and way you are feeling. Plus, we will be
serving a meal prepared by our own Chef Beau so delicious,
that you will not believe you are eating healthy!

A recent study in the Journal of Organic Systems looked at US government data how often glyphosate (which is an extremely powerful weed killer used on most food grown in the U.S.) was used and it's correlation against 22 different diseases. It found 'very strong and highly significant correlations between the increasing use of glyphosate, GE crop growth and the increase in a multitude of diseases'.

The report offers compelling data and graphs, like the one below, that show the dramatic increases in illnesses and diseases coincide with the commercial production of the GE (genetically engineered) crops.

autism and GMO stats

As you can see from the chart above, 1996 was a turning point in our human history as that was the year when GMO's were introduced in the US.

In the first 9 years that followed, the percentage of Americans with three or more chronic illnesses jumped from 7% to 13%. In addition, the amount of food allergies in that same time period soared and disorders such as autism, reproductive disorders, digestive problems, and others started to climb as well. This trend is continuing today at an alarming rate.

depression, anxiety and foodWe warn you that once you start to dig into the research, online forums, articles, videos and endless information about GMO's, non-organic vs organic, Monsanto and the link between major health issues like Autism, ADHD, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, etc, you will be overwhelmed. Add to this the various organizations and agencies that are determined to tell you that the food you eat is safe and GMO’s are making life better, it is difficult to make sense of any of it.

Our proposition is simple: if you or someone you know suffers from any of the disorders or conditions that are listed below, then it is very possible that your body is sensitive or allergic to the foods that you a regularly consuming. (Note that there are more issues that are related to gluten and GMO’s that are listed here).

  • OCD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Brain Fog
  • Inability to concentrate
  • ADD / ADHD
  • Mood disorders like bipolar or borderline personality disorder
  • Headaches or chronic pain

You do not have to be diagnosed with an autoimmune disease like Hashimoto's or Celiac to be affected by the food that you eat. Our bodies and our brains are highly complex and are absolutely affected by everything we eat. Doing your own reflection, you certainly know which foods affect your gut or cause intestinal issues if you eat them. In fact, most of us already have a list of foods that we shouldn’t eat because it makes us feel bad, sick or uncomfortable.

However, many of us don't fully understand that the foods that we eat can also cause more 'hidden' issues like lack of focus, irritability, sleep problems or other behavioral issues.

We truly understand this link and want to share what we know with you.

You may have heard the expression by American psychologist Abraham Maslow, who was best known for creating Maslow's hierarchy of needs, "When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail".

when all you have is a hammer

This is why when you go to a doctor to learn why you are not feeling well, they are quick to prescribe a medication to help 'fix that'. Unfortunately, despite all the evidence that is out there about the food that we eat and the link to behavioral and physical disorders, many doctors still do not include proper diet in their medical tool bag. For many doctors, they are incentivized to write a prescription for the latest antipsychotic drug but are not rewarded for prescribing an organic, non-GMO and gluten-free diet.

So they hammer the nail.
